Nike

Nike was a Swedish manufacturer based in Eskilstuna, a city renowned for its long history of metalworking, engineering and industrial manufacturing. The company specialised in technical drawing tables and drafting equipment, producing robust, precision-engineered furniture for architects, engineers and designers throughout the 20th century.

Nike drawing tables were characterised by their heavy cast-metal bases, mechanical height-adjustment systems and tilting drawing boards, allowing users to position their working surfaces at different heights and angles. Their functional design reflected the practical requirements of professional drafting environments, combining durability with carefully engineered mechanisms.

Today, original Nike drafting tables are appreciated for their industrial construction, distinctive sculptural forms and quality Swedish engineering. Once essential equipment in architectural and engineering offices, these tables have found a new appreciation as functional furniture and statement pieces in contemporary interiors.
